Whoops, too much of a giveaway there? Haha, good job. That is correct. You can see the hook near Dimmit at the time of the radar image. It's due west of the Tulia cell.
I dunno that it was too much of a giveaway, but it tripped an old memory. I remember seeing a case study of that event with a radar loop and was amazed at how the Dimmit storm essentially took control of the entire environment around it. It essentially pulled in every storm surrounding it and became an absolute beast. The visible satellite loop is no less amazing. The OFB from the earlier supercell helps trigger the storms, then you can see the cumulus to the south line up into "streets" as they are pulled into the supercell.
