Well, it's been a year since Dr. Bill Corcoran at MSU first e-mailed and said "do you want to do this" and I said "absolutely!".
The Geography, Geology and Planning department at MSU is excited to offer the first ever storm chase class, GRY470, as an intersession class starting Thursday. The students will spend Thursday and Friday in the classroom and then beginning on Saturday May 30th through Sunday June 7th we will hit the road in search of storms.
I'm personally very excited about this project! I will be attempting live streaming (technology willing) and filing nightly web reports on the sites listed below. The entire trip should be well-documented; look for this to be available in DVD form at some point after the trip ends.
Dr. Corcoran and I have had a long association together at MSU since I first started as a per course instructor there in 1989. We sometimes look at each other and say "what have we gotten ourselves into?" but I know everything will go just fine and the students, and instructors, will have the trip of a lifetime!
Please visit the official site for this "adventure" at:

You will find blog posts, photos and videos posted here as well as information about the class. Streaming will also be found here, just check the tabs at the of the page. All are welcome to become members at this site.
I will also be posting on my station(s) web portal, Ozarks First, each day.

I hope to meet many of you! Chasing is a great hobby and teaching tool.
Stay safe!
