Meteorological Degree

My name is PFC David C Watson and I'm currently deployed to Iraq right now. I re-enlisted with the college option and was wondering that after I do my 6 months of college, that when I continue is there a way to get a degree in meteorology online at all in the event that I get deployed again?

Mississippi State offers a Broadcast Met degree that is entirely online. Not sure if you're looking for the broadcast aspect of it but that's the only school I know that offers that degree remotely. Link: http://www.distance.msstate.edu/geosciences/BMP/index.html

While it is not a degree, Penn State has an online 'Certificate of Achievement in Weather Forecasting'.

USDA Graduate School also offers online training - it's not a full degree, but it is more math-intensive than MSU's program.

I'm currently enrolled at Penn State taking the courses for the Weather Forecasting Certificate. It is a total of four courses. (3 credit hours each) I've inquired about the future of ever being able to obtain an actual Meteorology degree online and thus far it's highly doubtful due to the amount of math and physics involved.
