I updated my osx to snow leopard 10.6.3 today from 10.4 and now when I bring up my gps in weathertap. There is no com ports listed and when I click get com ports nothing happens. Im guessing this is a setting somewhere in snow leopard but I cant seem to find it and after some google searches I still cant come up with a fix. It was working fine until I upgraded and now im stuck. Really hoping to have it working for tomorrows chase.Any ideas would be great thanks

I also see your post on the Mac forum. Have you tried contacting WeatherTAP support? They have a daytime support line at 800-337-5263. I'm not a Mac'er but since Snow Leopard is basically a flavor of Linux, I suspect it has to do with needing to give the ports user access so the JVM can see them.

I have reinstalled the upgrade again and still the same. I will be contacting support as soon as they open at 7am. thanks. I agree its most likely a permission issue but have no idea how to fix it. I dont have my original disc that came with the computer or I would install the original operating system. I upgraded so my system would support parallels and now I wish I waited till after todays chase. Thanks for trying to help
