With everyone east of the Mississippi having an interesting day with the severe sector of this system, Kansas City was whopped with a decent snow event! 7-10" across the metropolitan area, averaging around 8" for most places. Filmed at the airport today, which received around 6-7" ... lots of cars off the road, trees loaded down (very heavy, wet snow). Quite the winter wonderland. Nice to look at too ... snow bands developed overnight and hovered over the same areas, providing for nice accumulations while conditions remained cold.
