iPhone weather radio app Free May 19th only.

I have not used this app so I can't vouch for it but thought it was worth the free download to try and I'll unload it if it's crap. Says it will send you text or voice message about warnings and apparently will use your phones location as you travel to keep you up to date.

I tried it just to hear the "weather radio" part - but it's not the weather radio. It's a computer voice reading the current weather and forecast, not connected to NWS.

That does beg a question, though...are there any recommended Weather radio apps, iOS or android?

For Droid I use Scanner Radio Pro which includes them. iOS can also use the direct web links I think.

None of the apps for iphone or Droid have my "local" station. It sucks.

I did DL this yesterday though. I like the NOAA app better since its real weather radio.
