Good day all,

Chris didn't that Asian action land you in deep trouble while in Canada ?

Wow ... Funny you remember that. I almost forgot something that happened 2 years ago and now laugh at it.

They just searched me, and DID NOT find anything, and let me go - I was one of many, and later some British man WAS
arrested, also driving a blue car, at the same border station a month or two later.

Nice to be reminded of that too. Thanks for the wonderful reminder, J Kinkaid ;-)

Anyway, Henri is still hanging in there, exposed center, as shear will increase and weaken the storm possibly as early as tonight.

Speaking of Asian action, JTWC put out a tropical cyclone formation alert (scary eh?) for the blob now just NW of Guam. The good times keep rolling! It rained for most of the morning and the skies to the West were purple all day. Sunset was beautiful with the cloud tops lit up orange. Looking north . . . I should have gone to Japan for Melor . . . next time !!!!

Good day all,

From NHC this morning...

...HENRI EXPECTED TO DISSIPATE SOON...

"Another one bites the dust ...

... Another one gone and another one gone ...

... Another one bites the dust!"

Yup...and on the downhill side of the season, so the depression (pardon the pun) continues (or doesn't...ah...nevermind).:D

I think our best bet will still be a degrading front in the GOM or East Coast that spins up briefly near the cost into a TS during a brief lapse in the El Nino induced shear. I'll be very surprised by a hurrican landfall in the US at this point
