About the time YouTube became a cultural icon, my video editing software stopped working on my old, Me-equipped computer. After spending many hours tinkering with this thing (not with the intent to getting the vid software working) to get it working better I decided to try reinstalling the software, and it works again!

I created vids of all of my best stormchasing moments, uploaded them, and am now delighted to share the link with everyone on here:

I have never had any of my video broadcast, have never sold any video, have never shown it at the Denver convention, and have only distributed a few copies to a handful of friends and family. This is stuff you have probably never seen before. It represents the best of my chasing since I began in June 1999.

I hope you check it out and enjoy!

Bob

Congrats Bob! I am STILL trying to figure out how to put video online. It is probably because I haven't applied myself since it isn't really a HUGE priority, but may be a good off season acquisition ;)

Enjoying the vids!!

That Perryton wedge still leaves a soared taste from heading back to Tulsa too soon and missing it.

LOL, and thanks, guys!

David D, Jay M, and another chaser whose name I don't recall (I'm positively terrible with names) and I had been hanging out somewhere N of AMA that day (of the Perryton wedge), IIRC.

That storm got going, but it was headed to no-man's-land, wasn't looking all that great at first, and it was getting late. Only Dave and I went after it, and Jay was pretty peeved when he heard.

Sorry to open the old wound, Jay, if you read this, LOL...

Great..thanks..I had almost forgotten about that stupid decision:mad:. Mostly cause I had to be at work early the next morning and was already tired. plus the fact that I didnt think we could catch it before dark. My bad...lol. The other chaser was Bill Turner who at the time was chief met at KAMR.

I also remeber David calling me at home to call the NWS cause he couldnt get through. They were a bit relunctant to take a second hand report but luckily they knew me well enough to believe me. I also remember a chaser on ST (we wont name) who said you guys were nuts cause radar looked like crap and there was no way it could produce a tornado. That it must just be a rainshaft. Guess she has to eat those words now. People from this area know the radar coverage in that area is at its limits from AMA and DDC and wont see the lower half of a storm.

What kept me headed home was the NWS had cancelled the severe warning for it so that added to the "day is done" thought :o

We also ended up east of that later on out in the middle of nowhere, blacked out and sat and watched the most incredible lightning display. It was just a constant strobe of lightning all around us. Very surreal.

Again, thanks guys. Just bear in mind that those vids represent the best of eight years and over 100K miles of chasing, so a few minutes of good stuff is nothing to brag about.

David, the thing I remember about what happened after Perryton is Tom Tackett calling us while we were standing around in total darkness (except for the awesome lightning) to say we were right under a TVS, LOL! That and the inflow, which was absolutely howling.
