Last night we were out chasing and drove right under the updraft of this LP supercell just to the SW of Kadane Corner. We watched this awesome horseshoe shape RFD cut and some nice elevated meso structure. We let the storm pass right on top of us and behind us a rainbow formed. When I went to look at the rainbow (now to our south east) something caught my attention. A funnel shape lowering formed from the base, it looked like it was rotating albeit not very much. I was wondering if any other the other chasers saw this feature and if they could possible shed some light. Its too inconclusive to call it a funnel though it would be in the right spot. This photo we are facing due east and the time the image was captured was 7:48pm. The radar was showing a TVS earlier, but I don't remember if it was at this time. We were less than 1/4 mile off 1180 west of Kadane Corner. Thank for the help. Take care.

We were sitting on 277 at the time you mentioned and it looked like just a little nubby piece of the updraft with a deceptive shape. But I was also at a different angle so it's hard for me to conclusively say it wasn't a funnel.

Thank you James. I wasn't sure if it was just scud or some lowering. I wish I had paid more attention to it, but it was quickly wrapped up in the rain. Oh well for now it will be called "feature".
