• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

    I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

    For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

    From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking here for many years and have never made "the leap" to actually participating - until now.

Love this site, GREAT discussion forum. Although my experience is namely limited to my locations unique weather patterns, I will be emigrating to Kansas soon (thus finally making the plunge).

I hope to avoid annoying anyone too much.. ;) and hope to eventually be a contributing member of this community!

Thanks in advance!

Hello folks,

Finaly managed to registrer at stormtrack. I've been visiting this website for ages! Also when I was still in my own country (Holland).

Let me introduce myself;

My name is Koos, and I'm 17 years young. Love weather since 2004/2005, when we had some very good storms in Holland. I used to be scared of thunderstorms, but they'd also facinate me, and so on.. I started to like them. Anyway; i've been visiting Oklahoma in 2006 (summer) with my mom and dad; we enjoyed the weather, and I especially enjoyed the thunderstorms! Ofcourse I know there is a Tornado season here; and I'm now in Cushing, OK with my parents until 31th of may (My parents are retired).

So this year I'm planning to chase some heavy t-storms (and hopefully tornado's).

I've had only 1 not-so-nice experience with weather; wich occured in 2005. I was watching a t-storm with my neightbor, and the lightning bolts were already aprox. within 1 mile, and then suddenly a multiple CG hit a tree 50 metres away, wich pushed us to the ground. It shocked me, but also facinated be, and showed me how much power mother nature has!

Nice to meet you all!

Koos :)

Hi Koos!

Used to live in Europe myself back in the day. First tornado I ever saw was just outside Eriswell in Suffolk County, England... and yes, there are supercells in england, trust me ;).
