GRLevel3 w/ NCDC Archives

I must have become stupid or something...

Did NCDC change the file formats on their radar archive or did I just go retarded since the last time I did this. I am no longer able to download the TAR files it seems. I am trying to pull radar data into GRLevel3, but am not having any luck. I'm not sure what I am doing anymore! LOL

Anyone offer two cents? I'm looking for radar data for the following days in case someone has these already and could save me the trouble of this. Otherwise, someone give me some sound advice!

I have never personally tried to use the archived level III data, but I was just downloading level II data and pulled into Analyst just fine this morning.

Beats me, but I know NCDC had a huge mess of server problems. I had one satellite data order that I was waiting 9 days on, and it finally went out the door this evening.

So, are you not even getting the tar's or is it something else? Are you putting it in a folder and running the ncdctorv3 tool to convert them to rv3 files for GRLevel3? Remember that they L3 files can't be dropped in like the L2 files can be into GRLevel2.

Ah, I did not know of that tool... nor was it something I recall using back when I did all this the first time... that may be the problem.

I am getting a .txt file, not the .tar file.
