Anyone use GRL3 on a Netbook with just integrated graphics capability?

Whilst I now have a good android tablet set up with both PYKL3 and Radarscope and GPS capability, I'm still considering just using this as back up. Over the years I've gotten used to the finer detail on the GRL3 and TBH probably prefer it.
I understand that there are gaming netbooks out there with dedicated graphics installed but don't really want to pay the price. So in short I would like to dump the HP 8 kg laptop and take something more portable this year but with a enough graphics to show the GRL3 in a workable state.

Yes it works fine, especially if you have an Ivy Bridge or Haswell chipset. I have an Ivy Bridge Lenovo laptop and I play Skyrim and Diablo 3 on it, so something like GR3 is no problem for the graphics. Even if you don't have one of those chipsets, Streets and Trips and GR3 run just fine - been chasing with a setup with an older netbook like that for 2 years now.

The bigger problem you'll see on netbooks is skimping on parts and anemic CPU for any "heavy lifting". Some wifi chips are garbage and your bandwidth will suffer. We've tried cutting and uploading video in a pinch before and it's failed miserably.

I know less about computers than most things, but I bought a ASUS notebook computer and GR3 works fine. Not sure if this is the type of computer you are talking about. This is the first computer I've owned that the smoothing worked on actually, haha. Its very small and portable, 11.6 inch screen and I think I paid less than $300.

For what it's worth, GRL3 runs extremely well on a Microsoft Surface Pro. The touch screen and Windows 8 takes getting used to, but eliminates the keyboard so you can use a cheaper mount and have more elbow room in the vehicle. A snap-on keyboard is handy when you want to check email or blog when parked at a restaurant or something.
