GR3, Weather Defender and GPS

Why is it that none of these systems are compatible with Garmin's? Well my issue is that my small handheld Garmin does not support NMEA, is there a way for me to fix this or do I have to buy another GPS?

GPSGate will take input from a Garmin and output it in whatever you need to be compatible with GR3, etc.

The overall issue is that the small handheld Garmin does not support NMEA,

NMEA is the industrial standard GPS format - Garmin is way out there on the wing.

ALL GPS enabled programes support the NMEA protocal - Garmin is a secondary (or even third!) consideration.
