Google ads on ST

It's possible if you are getting very NSFW adverts (i.e., porn) ads here on Stormtrack that your computer is infected with some sort of spyware. Quite a few trojan packages out there like to dynamically replace web ad content with content from a different source.

Poor bbw and gay chubbies, no love from ST for you all, lol. I'm left wondering just how many ST'rs signed up though. I know you are out there. Dan C?

Ignore what's in the "newest member" block... people (and bots) are free to register, but they never make it past the approval phase.

I find it more entertaining than disturbing... People need to accept comedy for what it is. That "gay chubby dating" ad above is hilarious LOL

I'm with you Robert... I just chuckle and move on. This country has gotten really angry and sensitive and it's no wonder everyone is on High Blood Pressure medication...

I find it interesting that I just saw a banner ad at the top of THIS thread advertising for sugardaddie.com (LOL). I have the image saved if anyone needs to see.

For several nights strait I saw a ad for a dating site for asian women. It became very annoying when I would see it every single time I clicked on a thread one or two nights in a row. I am not sure if anyone has already posted about that ad and I do not have any links for it.

EDIT: The current ad is about my credit score and has nothing to do with the weather.

I never even noticed there were Google ads on ST until I kept seeing this thread active for a week. Sometimes I wonder if my "getting offended" gene was left out when I was created. Or maybe I just don't see an issue with every single thing that isn't 100% "what I expect".

It wasn't just seeing the ads (although that was bad enough), it was seeing them attached to the top of my own posts/threads that really bothered me. It's like the effort that went into contributing something here was going to help advertise those sites, not to mention my name being attached to/associated with them (for any non-tech-savvy user or a search engine spider that happens to scan the threads).
