Globalstat puck question

I recently hooked up a globalstat puck in GRLevel3 using GPSGate. There is a location point dot with a circle around it. I trust the circle represents a given distance out...Can someone shed light on this for me?.....thanks

I think it's just a meaningless icon. You'll notice if you zoom in or out that the size of the icon on your screen doesn't change. Therefore it can't resemble a constant distance from the center dot.
