Getting kicked off

Ever since the site was updated it keeps kicking me off. Sometimes I can browse on the site for an hour before it happens then sometimes it's not even 5 minutes. Don't know if it's an issue on my end or not. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

You have to click "Remember Me" when you login. There used to be a checkbox at the top, but its been removed from this "skin" or vb4 version. If you click the Login button without entering anything, you'll be taken to another page where you can click the "Remember me" button, and it should keep you signed in.

Just had to log back in again. That lasted less than an hour. Checked the remember me box again.

The check box to "remember me" IS on the main page at the top of the screen. The problem is that some of the ad banners are of a size that they cover it up. If you hit refresh a few times you'll see it with some of the smaller ad banners. When you see it, log in and check the box, problem solved.

Normally this is an issue with the cookies. Whenever I use a new machine, after I check the "remember me" box, this problem disappears.

You are correct, but in this case the "remember me" box isn't always visible with the layout. The login box in the upper right of the screen is directly above the ad banners, and the check box is below the login username/pw boxes. With the larger ad banners they cover the check box. I had to refresh the page a few times until a smaller banner was displayed and the check box was visible.

That was the same thing that happened to me. The "remember me" checkbox is not evident when certain ad banners are displayed in the upper right part of the webpage.

I checked the remember me box twice last night and it still kicked me off. Haven't had any problems tonight. Thanks everyone.

Are you using Chrome by chance? That software was horrible with that issue for me (among other things). Do you shut down and restart your PC a lot (between usages) or let it run for days on end?

FWIW, I've checked the box once and it's been fine. I'm using FF.

Yeah I'm using Chrome. Haven't had a problem as of last night and today. I shut it down every night. I think I'm going to go back to FF due the quirks I've had lately. Maybe it's just that I'm familiar with FF.

Chrome I found more trouble than it's worth, and I really hated how the operations where separated in the processes window (or whatever you call in when you do the Ctrl+Shift+esc and select the processes tab). I to found my forums and sites in Chrome didn't retain my passwords the same. This was especially true when I shutdown. I suspect the default Chrome settings probably kill off cookies more than FF or IE, so you might go through the settings (if you haven't already). But I have found myself returning to FF after a trial run with Chrome. I only use IE with sites that use silverlight.

fortunately i haven't had anything crazy like that happen to me yet
