• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

With new baby and new job, time for chasing is likely to be curtailed so I am going to be going a different route with data in 2011. As a result, am putting up for sale my Baron Mobile Threat Net unit.

I am the original non-smoking owner, acquired new in Feb 2006, and not even taken out of the box until spring 2007. It is the USB version and has seen light use and been carefully stored during offseasons. I've never encountered any problems with reception of this unit. For the purpose of honesty & full disclosure, the only flaw is that there is a miniscule fray (the size of a tip of a pen) in the insulation of the 25ft antenna. It is 7ft from where the antenna plugs into the back of the receiver (18ft from the antenna itself) and was not caused by it pinching in a door. I put a small piece of electrical tape over it when I noticed it 2 years ago, and has never impacted the performance of the unit. It includes all original items/accessories/CD's (including the mapping GPS software)/mounting plate (never used), box and is in pristine condition.

Asking $400 via paypal (regular is fine) which includes insured shipping via USPS. I will discount $20 for local pickup/sales. US sales only. Lowball offers will be politely ignored.

PM is the best way to contact me and I am happy to answer any questions.
To Jason Foster - yes I know I can get more on e-bay or waiting to the early spring, but I am wanted to offer it up here before moving it to e-bay. :D
