Forecasting Parameters

I'm just wondering how to view parameters that assist in forecasting convective initiation and available forcing. Instability and shear are parameters that I understand but I need more information on forcing and initiation. Are there any specific mesoanalysis products or other products for that matter? Any help would be great! Thanks! - Brandon
