1. Current position, strength, central pressure and motion

At 9.00 AM ADT, tropical storm Erin was located near latitude 33.0 N
and longitude 72.7 W, about 196 nautical miles or 363 km southeast of
Cape Hatteras. Maximum sustained winds are estimated at 35 knots (65
km/h) and central pressure at 1004 MB. Erin is moving north-northwest
at 5 knots (9 km/h).

At 3.00 PM ADT, tropical depression Erin was located near latitude
33.7 N and longitude 73.1 W, about 153 nautical miles or 284 km
southeast of Cape Hatteras. Maximum sustained winds are estimated at
30 knots (56 km/h) and central pressure at 1005 MB. Erin is moving
north at 11 knots (20 km/h).

37.4 N and longitude 70.7 W, about 267 nautical miles or 494 km
east-northeast of Cape Hatteras. Maximum sustained winds are
estimated at 30 knots (56 km/h) and central pressure at 1004 MB. Erin
is moving north-northeast at 15 knots (28 km/h).
