Epic Fail Thread?

Hey friends!

Wondering if we could start an "epic fail" thread! I had one yesterday! Was moving along with the Salina cell, actually had it just to my west as it began. I moved a little north thinking it would drift north (that was the path). It exploded and stopped. I got stuck on the northeast edge, and couldnt find a paved road (hate those Kansas dirt roads). By the time I got around on it, it was a huge rain wrapped wedge.

Been kicking myself all night and this morning! Missed the easiest grab of my life. If I just would have stopped instead of worry about staying ahead of it, I would have caught it ALL!

Maybe some of you can learn from my mistake! I suck!

There's a thread somewhere entitled "Epic Fail Chase wall of shame." Do a quick search and you'll find it. I think this story would be a good addition.

May 18th in Central KS. I had tornadoes all around me and I couldn't find one to save my life. Everyone on my fb that was a chaser saw a tornado except for me. Talk about hot, I don't think I've ever been so angry at not seeing a tornado. Total epic fail.

April 10, 2009 - Murfreesboro, TN at 11:50 am. In anticipation of an afternoon severe weather event, I was about to check the radar and then head out to chase when the neighborhood a 1/2 mile to my south was suddenly wiped from the map by a nasty EF-4 tornado. That should have been a gimme tornado to see, and I somehow missed it.
