Hello All,
I am a weather enthusiast with no formal meteorological training. I've learned everything I know about weather from all you fine folks on this forum.
I'm curious to see if the stubborn hi pressure ridge scenario that's been residing on and off over the Western US / Eastern Pacific for the better part of 2013 and 2014 will have any steering effects on what looks to be an elevated El Nino forecast in the latter part of 2014?
Where would one find data, if such data exists, showing ridge conditions prior to the AMJ 1982 – MJJ 1983 2.2 ONI and the AMJ 1997 – MAM 1998 2.4 ONI. These years stand out to me growing up here in Southern California.
