One of the other forums I belong to is the Eastern US Weather Forum (aka "eastern"). For the fifth year they are holding a really great conference that includes some great speakers and is overall a very interesting group of people to meet. It is a wide variety of professional meteorologists, climatologists, hobbyists, media, and more that attend this event. Attendees usually number around 70-100 people so it is a rather intimate affair and a lot of great friendships have been made. It is also great because unlike some of the more professional forums, this has varied levels of knowledge base and programs great for all levels. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in the weather.
