Earthquake in Michigan

I was sitting in my apartment about twenty minutes ago when I felt the whole place shake and rattle for ten seconds or so. My first thought was, naturally, "What the . . . ?" My second was, "Damn! We are having an earthquake!"

Not just a slight tremor, either. People all across southern Michigan felt it, and apparently in NW Ohio too, according to WOOD TV8. I've heard a preliminary report that it was a 4.0 centered about 40 miles south of here in Galesburg, between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek.

We've had quakes in Michigan before, but they were always so minor that I never even knew about them till I heard about them in the news. This is a first for me.
