Since my Dell Media Experience software decided to crap out and not play dvds anymore, I need to find a good player.

Any suggestions?

I use Cyberlink PowerDVD. It works pretty good. I'm not sure exactly how much it costs though.

If you want to go for a free one, Windows Media Player will play DVD's.

Doesn't windows media player require a DVD decoder be installed first? I thought I remember having to install Cyberlink's and then I could use WMP. Things may have changed in the newer versions, however.

Skip you are correct, you have to install the DVD codec before you can play DVD's on Windows Media Player. I'm sorry if I confused anyone...
