OK, it’s time for me to join everyone else and release a new DVD. So after you get SO2007 and all the other DVDs take a look at mine.:) At this point I am taking pre-orders. I expect to start shipping DVDs the first week of January. For a limited time (through January at least) $5 will be donated to the Eric Nguyen Memorial Scholarship for each DVD purchased from my web-site. I will post the total dollar amount raised through DVD sales on my website and here by February 1, 2008.

"Get out and film it!" is a 2-hour DVD compilation of the most amazing storms I have documented from 1998 to 2007. It is professionally replicated to ensure maximum compatibility and picture quality.

Due to delays with the DVD replication company I will not ship orders until the last week of January. Through April 1st I will continue to donate $5 to the Eric Nguyen Memorial Scholarship for each DVD purchased from my web-site.

I haven't seen Scott's DVD yet, but know that his footage is among the best out there. I see this as being one of those DVD's that everyone needs to have, by knowing the quality of the video that's going to be on it before it's even released. I look forward to seeing it.

SDS Treatment

My DVDs have finally arrived from the replication company. For everyone that pre-ordered I will mail them in the morning and you should receive them within a week to ten days. It has been a long wait and I appreciate your patience. All new order will be mailed the day after payment is confirmed.

Thanks,
Scott

If you liked "Another Boring Chase Video" you will love Scott's latest release, "Get Out And Film It". Lots of tornadoes, many times multiple tornadoes at once, and of course tons of giant hail, shattered windows, and dents. This video includes the best of the best from Scott's impressive decade-long career, and it's so good that Scott's awesome May 12, 2004 chase is NOT featured as a main event on this disc.

IMO the treat of this video is the early stuff, including Scott's very first career storm chase on February 25, 1998 and never-before-seen footage from the historic May 3, 1999 OK outbreak. The video's chronological groove really shows the growth of Scott from a rookie into the established veteran he is today. And for you techno freaks, the video production is polished, professional, and neatly packaged (DVD case even comes with plastic protective seal).

I just spent a wonderful two hours watching this video and you should too. A fine addition to any chaser video collection.

This DVD is a must have it is GREAT! It is filled with tornadoes, but not just your ordinary tripoded tornado video from 5 miles away but in your face photogenic powerful tornadoes including multiple tornadoes, wedges, cones, ropes, stovepipes, and everything else you can think of. The opening segment and closing segment are also very good with some never before seen footage! I HIGHLY reccomend this DVD!

Great work Scott and keep the tornadoes coming! :)

OK. seriously... I just ordered this like yesterday or the day before, and it's in my house today (Kansas to Washington coast) Who is your mailman? Karl Lewis???

How did you do that? and I can't wait to watch it... (as it's already like 11pm)??

That is crazy.

It is my ESP order processing system. I actually mailed it two days before you decided to purchase the DVD. LOL

I keep a box of DVDs with me at work so I can mail them the same day that I get the order. It also helps that I work across the street from the post office so I can just run over there and mail them during breaks.

As promised the total raised through My DVD sale for the Eric Nguyen Memorial Scholarship is $75. I will continue with the $5 donations for every DVD purchased from my website through April 1. Just to be clear I am not making individual $5 dollar donations. I will make a single donation with the total amount raised after April 1.

For anyone wanting to make direct donations go to Eric Nguyen Memorial Scholarship.

Here is my review....
_______________________________________

All I can say is WOW. As a matter of fact, I noticed myself saying this aloud many times while watching this remarkable DVD. There are many storm chasing DVD's out there from many different people that are great and have skilled photographers and storm chasers behind them; however, Scott's outstanding photographic skill, editing work, production and chase skill has turned this DVD into a masterpiece. I'd even call it a storm chasers work of art. The crisp images and quality video graphic tools used in this production made the tornado and storm structure look phenomenal. I watched this DVD at home on my flat screen, then took it to a friends to watch it again on his 52" HD Television. Scott seems to be in the right place at the right time, and provides a DVD chock full of tornadoes (and I mean A LOT of tornadoes), large damaging hail, lots of lightning, storm structure and a great opening montage. The DVD was professionally produced, with high quality audio and even a professional DVD case with plastic wrapping, like something you would see when you purchase a DVD at the store. For the 2 hours of pure adrenaline pumping entertainment you are getting I would highly recommend this DVD to any severe weather or tornado enthusiast, and it is a must have for any storm chaser. I'm glad I have this DVD for my collection.

Gotta highly recommend Scott's DVD! My favorite segments were Sept 16th, 2006 seeing the full footage of the two tornadoes from a different perspective than the angle we chased from. I also really enjoyd Scott's video of the Mar 28, 2007 Sharon Springs, KS tornado. Scott caught a nice tube before the sunset lit orange needle tornado that I had never seen before. A beautiful fillamented tube south of I-70 that day!

Not much I can elaborate on that hasn't been mentioned already-- other than yet again WELL DONE!! Since receiving Scott's DVD almost two weeks ago, I've just totally enjoyed watching his ten-year chasing compilation! Each & every chapter is nicely crafted (excellent editing, simple formatting with no awkward or unnecessary special effects, smooth navigation), and topping that all off, the Menu background just ROCKS!! I've watched the Mulvane segment over & over--what an incredible scene. Between finding the best spots to film the writhing twister and shooting some of the most incredible up-close & personal video I've seen with the tornado crossing right in front, Scott does an excellent job of capturing the action. Of course, the same could be said for more than a few chapters.:)
All in all, a well-made DVD I'm glad I bought!

Received this DVD in the mail yesterday. Besides the incredibly fast shipping, this is one of the best all-around DVD's in my entire collection. From start to finish, you just can't turn your head for a second. Excellent footage and editing! Well worth the cash.

outstanding effort Scott

Scott Blair and I watched Scott Currens' "Get Out and Film It" after yesterday's chase (4-7-08) and over and over we said, "Why couldn't our tornado tonight have done THAT?"

This is a fast-paced, tornado-intensive DVD that captures the duck and sway of chasing in an unvarnished way. Scott has seen some amazing storms and tornadoes through the years and this is an excellent documentation of those, along with his evolution as one of the great chasers on the plains, and his long chase partnership with Eric Nguyen. Scott and Eric's banter and rapid-fire decision making are among the DVD's many dramatic elements. Anybody who enjoyed Mike and Eric's photo book should consider this DVD a mandatory companion piece.
