• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Good day everyone, major storm chasing DVD release is under way, with storms from 1987 through 2007!

m7dvd.gif

I have been storm chasing since 1986 / 1987 ... This DVD has many of my best chases starting as early as 1987 all the way through 2007! It totals just under 90 minutes in length and is broken up into 8 main sections with an introduction and credits as well. Take a journey through 20 years of extreme weather, from Florida and the Gulf Coast, and into the central USA from just north of Mexico to the Canadian Border. See a collection of hurricanes and tropical storms, including some of the worst to ever hit the USA, not to mention the highest storm surge in history in hurricane Katrina.

Older chases from the late 1980's / early 1990's have also been digitally re-mastered for better sound and clarity. See the effects of a two-and-a-half mile wide F-4 tornado on a small Nebraska town. See what a violent storm looks like from an airplane. See the Hurricane Hunters flying over Katrina at 45,000 feet on a research mission. There is a section special for supercells, tornadoes, and giant hail - including up to 5" (coconut sized) in Wisconsin! See a collection of time lapses, including fronts, a fog bank moving into California, supercells, and thunderstorm dynamics - This DVD has it all!

Hey chris, mabe the wife can buy that for me for christmas:D i hope!!

We all spent last night watching Chris's DVD and I would highly recommend it. The DVD is divided up into 8 chapters, each focusing on a different type of event, hail, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. Nicely done Chris!
