The Doppler-on-Wheels measured what could potentially be record-intensity windspeeds in the Greenfield, Iowa EF4 tornado on May 21, 2024. There is some confusion on whether this actually dethrones Moore 1999. Hoping some in-the-know folks can chime in.

Not that this matters, but I have clarification from multiple sources, including the Wikipedia editors. The Bridge Creek-Moore F5 1999 correctly maintains the record as it's ACCEPTED speed of 321 mph near ground level tops Greenfield @ 318 mph. Height and ground damage also align…
