DJI drone ban set to go in to effect on December 23

The Mavic 4 Pro is now sold out in most places in the US, aside from the $5,000 bundle with the RC Pro 2 controller.

Wow. The combo was going for less than $2,800 when I got mine a week before the ban. I will use the 3 for most chasing. I'll save the 4 for "safe" deployments, avoiding emergency landings in gravel pits with high winds and rain at night.😧

And don't forget to watch the Unusual Machines Inc. stock. (UMAC). It's the company that Trump's son got involved with and a possible replacement or licensing agent for DJI. It's still not clear if this was a calculated move, as UMAC is mostly a defense drone maker. The stock could go through the roof if DJI licenses with them. It's currently at $14.66 but was once under $1.00.

It does not sound like anything has changed unless I am missing something? The complete ban never went into effect so there is no actual new "drop in restrictions." The FCC ban on future technology was the only ban, nothing else.

The tariffs are adding at least $1,000 to the US prices of this model. I have heard of quite a few buyers able to get them on eBay from a seller in Korea. As sketchy as that sounds, no one has reported problems, all have received their drone with fast shipping. I'm not sure I'd personally trust that though.

I'm thinking that stock will come back after the ban-triggered frenzy dies down. Though, prices might continue to go up if supply doesn't keep pace.
