If you aren't watching, go turn it on to Discovery for Raging Planet...right now!!!

OK, commercial over, got to get back to the show.

The tornado episode of Raging Planet was spectacular! I saw some footage that I'd never seen before and my mouth was pretty much hanging open the entire show. And in HD it's crazy awesome!

Commercial Break: man, that Hurricane stuff was niiiccce!! Jeff Mackley is the Typhoon chaser god! LOL.

Watching the Flood show now, I will be buying this series on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Catching the tornado episode late night replay right now. I noticed a couple of things. Just before the discussion of tornado strength they show several clips of tornadoes but include one that appears to actually be a dust devil.
Later when discussing the Moore / OKC event they showed several pics of downtown Dallas,TX while talking about OKC.
Other than those little things I find the show riviting. My SDS is ever so slightly diminished.. for now. Thanks for the heads up on this one.

^^ I noticed the Dallas/OKC thing too. Hard to miss I.M. Pei's building in Dallas (the greenish blue glass building with pointed roof and angular slice down the side).

I missed the first 10 minutes of both tornado shows, so I'll have to catch a reply later. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying these on DVD (and Blu-Ray latter).

It was good to see a lot of chaser footage throughout the series...I know we all could use the money in the tough economy.

Raging Planet

I really enjoyed the Lightning episode, got to watch it on Youtube and thought it was absolutely amazing.

Haven't got to see the Hurricanes episode yet since I'm based in Hong Kong and awaiting a DVD from the production company. I heard Cape Verde is spectacular and can't wait to see how the scenery of Taiwan was presented!

I have been recording them all to DVR. I still have to watch the hurricane and the flood ones yet, as I was suffering from a headache the night they were on. But the lightning one last week was spectacular. Highly recommended viewing.

The Pioneer Productions people (who produce Raging Planet) are really a class act to deal with. And as you can tell, they do a great job telling the story as well.

I hope I get to work with in the future as well!
