Well, this is my second attempt at chasing. My first attempt I did not even make it to the storm last year. Today, while the weather did not get severe I thought it would make for good practice and allow me to get my feet wet. One of my main goals is to capture structure and I did manage to do so. So, I hope no one minds if I post my little report here
Areas include Barr Lake, in Brighton, Bennett and Denver.
At first I thought it was going to be a bust and we missed everything. Turns out I was half right. Headed out toward Barr Lake, the view to the North East looked interesting. I decided to use the stop light as place marker:

We headed out to Barr lake, not running into much, but I did take note of a nice anvil growing, which we would indeed run into again:

Reminded me of a space ship, though I am sure this is small change to what most of you get to view.
Once we got to Barr Lake I took a few shots of the Cell in the above photo and decided Bennett may be a better target. We did a minor run to the gas station to fill up a bit and got into a bit of rain. After a short break, we headed up to gas up and head East to Bennett. This was the view looking East while we where headed North on Tower Rd.

Once we got to 56th we turned east to go to Bennett:

About the time we got to E470 we started to get some rain, this lasted for a bit until we made it to Highway 36 and Imboden.
After this, things started to move out and fizzle out for my area. We stopped at a local grocery store to take a break and decided to head pack it in.

On the way home the lighting got pretty good in the partly cloudy skies this barn shot was too good to pass up

All in all, a decent chase. I got to see some structure, got out of the house and got some photos
