DFW Airport records the highest wind gust ever

At 4:39 a.m on 8/4/2025., the observation at DFW Airport recorded a wind gust of 89 mph. This surpasses the wind gust of 81 mph that led to the crash of Delta Air Lines Flight 191 on 8/2/1985, just over 40 years earlier. Both events were due to a microburst.
