• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I have recently purchased an air card from AT&T, and was curious to know if anyone has ever exceeded their 5gig a month limit, just using Gr3 and checking the SPC? I have High Speed Cable at home so I won't need it as my General internet. But until I spend a couple of months Chasing with it, I am going to be turning off the card when it is not crucial that I need it.

Thanks in advance for any, and all advice! :D

I have gone over 5 gigs a couple of times but I was also streaming and looking at level 2 data

Sprint charges $0.05 per megabyte after you exceed 5 Gigs. That is $50 per Gig over 5 Gig per month.

For right now, all I will need the card for is radar. I don't have any video at this point in my chase arsenal, so streaming won't be an issue. Thanks J

I originally had Sprint as my first choice for Data, but after being asked for a 500$ deposit, I went with AT&T because I have been with them/Cingular since 04'. I'll have to check what ATT charges for overages. Thanks Doug

Thanks for the feedback!

Wow, I wonder what was up with asking for a large deposit like that.[/QUOTE]

I have no idea. I have decent credit, I guess its standard?? My wife has a credit rating of over 700 and they still wanted a 250$ deposit from her. No big deal, I just would have preferred to use Sprint due to how much everyone here on ST talks about them. Thanks!

Why not buy a card on ebay and do it without a contract ?:D
