Last March, after researching cameras and lenses, I purchased a Rebel XTi and a Sigma 17-200 mm zoom OS. It has been a great multi-purpose setup, but I'm only just beginning to really tap into its capabilities. I thought I'd share a few photos I took a couple days ago, Wednesday. A squall line blew in across Lake Michigan, and Kurt Hulst and I caught it on the shoreline south of Douglas as it made landfall.
The last image is one of my first lightning shots. Pardon the slanting horizon. No doubt the effect is due to a seiche on the lake. It certainly couldn't have had anything to do with the photographer.
