Connectify Software for Windows 7

I downloaded the free software Connectify from CNET with no real thoughts of it working. I was wrong. This very simply turned my Windows 7 Dell laptop and my USB modem into a "hot spot". Now anybody in range of my computer can use me as a wireless router with no maximum number of users.

I have seen some chasers buying the mifi thing that allows up to 5 people to connect to the same router and this does the same thing for free through your computer without the limit of users (if you use Windows 7).

Anyway, another cool thing about Windows 7. Once I got past the x64 thing I have really enjoyed this OS.

Connectify works like a champ, kinda wish I hadnt purchased my Cradlepoint MBR-1000.

You can setup a sharing option in Windows 7, but it's a little finicky. I haven't messed with connectify, but I'll definitely give it a shot after seeing this.

I'll have to check that out. I just got Windows 7 and just about to pull the trigger on a mifi.
