COD vs Twisterdata vs HAZWX ... Is there a difference

Im a fan of CoD the most. It has everything I use and loads fast.

The only time I use TwisterData is when Im really bored and want to look beyond 240 hours to see if there are any potential pattern changes coming up (yes I know anything after 240 is a crapshoot, but Ive seen things verify more than once so I still take a peak every once in awhile.) TD is also way too slow, I understand why, but its the main reason I dont use it.

HazWX is nice, but on my older machine it struggles to load the graphic intense maps, but since you can zoom to any area of the country, its great for making forecast posts. and labeling things.

I also use a site called instant weather maps (instantweathermaps.com) the graphics are very minimal and not pretty, but it will load faster than any other model site fpr those times I just cant wait to see the what the latest run has in store.

I pretty much just use the NAM on Twisterdata for the 60 hours before a chase, and mesoanalysis, satellite, and sfc day of. GFS to see patterns more than 60 hours out. Not a huge fan of the CoD layout, but it does work. I hate the HRRR though, so I rarely use it.

Never used hazwx, and really don't see the point in spending $ on something I can see for free elsewhere.

I haven't yet used HazWx, though this coming spring I'll probably give it a shot. I use both Twisterdata and CoD about equally--it depends on my mood. But I do like CoD's regional option. I also use F5 data. I love how it allows me to overlay different parameters, including data from EuroWx, which gives me ECMWF maps I can't normally obtain for a price I can afford.

Havent tried HazWX, use COD/TD sometimes. But for the most part on chase day I stick with mesoanalysis/satellite/surface charts now days. Easier to scroll through for me and I like the visuals better. Really only use COD/TD if I want to check past 60 hours for some reason.

Have tried all of these, but I prefer HazWX. I really like the zooming and panning abilities, along with the various parameters. COD is a 2nd choice if I have to use something else.

COD just added the NAM 4km CONUS nest. It's on the NAM 4KM tab, but it really is the operational NAM this time and not the special SPC WRF run.
