As if there aren't already enough hazards while chasing - Yikes!
This recently occurred in Florida.

A lightning strike sent a chunk of highway through the windshield of a truck in Florida on Monday and authorities say the truck's occupants are lucky that their injuries weren't more severe.

Scary stuff right there. It reminds me of when driving out to the Plains a few years ago, a full-sized couch fell out of a pickup truck immediately in front of us onto the road on I-44 in Missouri. Still have no idea have I managed to avoid hitting it.
