Chesapeake Bay-effect snow band

Check out the AKQ radar loop (Norfolk, VA area)! A nice bay-effect snow band (identical to lake effect) is ongoing.

EDIT: There are also some bands off of the NC coast.

Everything was producing "lake" effect that day. A narrow band was coming off Lake Champlain during that time as well.
