I have decided to extend the Chasercon Special to the unofficial start of chase season . In Case you have not heard of it or were not there here it is . Traveller wireless cellular amplifier system is $50 off with coupon code Chasercon till April 1 2012 . I have also decided to add another special for chasers only The Rockies amplifier kit is $40 off with coupon code Chaser again till April 1. So here is the math
Traveller Wireless system - Regular $349.95 with Coupon Code - $299.95
Rockies High Power direct Connect Kit - Regular $219.95 , with Coupon Code $179.95

I know you all get tired of me saying how great our stuff is . Don't take my word for it. Ask other chasers that have used anyone else's equipment then used ours .

These specials are being extended to chasers only . Hopefully it helps with those out of control gas prices you did not budget for.

It's good stuff Gordon,be my third year with your products. The problem is I already bought a new Cyfre setup from you Before you offered the special stated above... ;)

Sorry about that Fred , With Gas Prices going crazy I decided this morning somebody needs to cut you guys a break . I for one do appreciate what chasers do and glad my equipment can help you do your stuff better.

If anyone who has not purchased from Gordon before, I had an issue with my amp. I sent it into Gordon, and he fixed it for me and sent it back - NO CHARGE. I didn't wait weeks, or months to get it back - I waited DAYS. I sent it in on a Saturday, and I received a new one Thursday of the next week.

First, thank you Gordon for doing that for me.
Secondly, if you have not purchased one of these amps, do it - it's well worth the investment.

Thanks again Gordon!!!

Gordon's products are the best of the best. And his dedication and appreciation for the storm chasing community is real. If you don't have an amplifier in your car, now's the time to get one!

Gordon has also supported the National Weather Festival over the past few years by donating 1 or more units for those entering the Storm Chaser car Show. I do know those that won them this past year are users that will put them to good use so it was nice to see they won them and I am betting they emailed Gordon to thank him for supporting the festival by donating the amplifiers.

I bought Gordon's Cyfre CA-819 kit last year. Only needed it twice, but it worked like a charm. Unfortunately, I've changed my setup this year and I think I need the Traveller. Ugh, more money! (Appreciate the discount though, Gordon.)

Gordon....for those of us that have had your equipment in the field for a while, do you offer a service where I can pay to have someone look over my amp and make sure all is well? It "works", but I want to make sure it is working at top form. I do this with my home theatre equipment where it is sent back to the manufacturer and they basically give it a tune up. Test everything, and any components that are not up to spec they contact me with a price to repair or replace. When I get it back, I know I have a component that performs the way it did when brand new.

Thanks--

The amplifiers are simple . they either work or do not work . If a chip goes the whole unit no longer amplifies . There is no tuning them up as it is a solid state board . The manufacturers replace all units that fail with new ones under warranty period . There is no repair service . As long as it is working you get the same performance you got day one.

Understood. So, a question....If "a chip goes", does the unit just pass the signal thru both ways unamplified? Or do you suddenly have no signal until you pull the dead amp out of the path?

If it is the first, then what is the best way to confirm it is indeed working and is indeed amplifying the signals? My understanding is, these amps "request" more power from the cell site when it needs it so they do not run at full bars all the time.

Thank you, Gordon.

use in a signal challenged area , you will be able to tell if it is working . If an amplifier is dead pass through sucks .

Don't mean to hijaclk the thread but is the performance better, worse or the same with the traveler In vehicle amplifier combo or with a direct connect amplifier?

Excellent. Gordon, thank you for taking time to answer my questions. This is an example of why it is a great idea to purchase from people who get involved with the forums. I had wondered about that, but would have never taken time to call. So....now I know.

Viberama, welcome. If Gordon misses seeing your question, be sure to fire him a private message.

Wireless amplifier provides about same amplification as direct connect . The wireless is great because it will do multiple devices at the same time . If you are just doing a data card that has an RF port all you need is a direct connect.
