• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I finally got everything together that I want to do this year. Thanks to Goldsby Casino for helping with the laptop mount funds, the nice weather and not being sick I got the install done.

You can see the pics here. http://www.oklahomawx.com/siteimages/gallery/index.php?title=Chase%20Truck

The only things I can think of that I want to add are a dash cam to stream live. (I can with my Moto Q but need to figure out how to mount it.) and maybe get my Ham License and a radio but I'm not in a huge hurry to get that done right now.

Looks good, David. Very clean installation and arrangement. Good job!
Hope to see ya' out chasing this year.

Very nice. Now all that's left is the body customization...by hail. :)

You should most definitely get your ham license. It's an excellent way not only to keep in touch with other chasers in the field, but also allows you to pass on reports to Skywarn nets. (Hint hint, wink wink.)

I hope to hold off on the body customization for a while but you never know around here! I'm sure after the first dent it won't hurt as much.

I will probably pursue getting my HAM either in the fall or over next winter. We are currently buying a house so trying to get a radio right now would probably not go over very well. :)

How sturdy is the flexible screen stabilizer? I just put my new RAM laptop stand in my F150 and definately need the stabilizer. Just trying to decide if I should spend the extra 10 bucks for the rigid one.

Dave....great job on the truck....dont worry about the hail....we all get some. My 2007 Ford Expedition was annointed a few weeks back in Maysville.Ok by golfballs (plus in size) A few dings and a windshield.......To Ben Engle.....I have a flex screen stabilizer on my RAM laptop stand and all is well so far........Without it you will wear the pivots out on the laptop. good luck.............Alan

Ye gods! That's a nice truck but I shudder to think of the fuel costs in the forseeable future... very nice equipment install though.

When I first put my RAM mount in my Jeep I had also installed the screen stabilizer since my laptop at the time had a fairly weak screen hinge on it. Since then I've upgraded the laptop a couple times and the current one doesn't need one so I've removed it. It works fairly well but I found I was constantly fiddling with it after installing and removing the laptop. I do love the mount itself though...

I like the screen stabilizer but it could use some improvement. The part that holds the top of the screen is not adjustable and at first the sound of the screen beating back and forth in it was very annoying. I fixed this by shoving a piece of foam in there to hold the screen tight, now the screen stays put pretty much where I set it.

As far as gas goes that is another story. I have to carefully pick and choose when to chase and only stay pretty local right now. Fortunately my wife and I do pretty good so gas isn't huge issue yet.
