I found this on the internet, about wind turbines and the effects on weather radars.

MikeWind power has proven to be an affordable option and numerous international companies are now involved in its development. Unfortunately, it has become evident that wind farms, which can cover thousands of acres, may have a profound and detrimental effort on the performance of radars.
In particular, the characteristics of echoes from wind turbine clutter (WTC) can resemble weather echoes and are problematic for operational clutter rejection schemes used with the national network of weather surveillance radars (WSR-88D) operated by the National Weather Service (NWS).
