caps and boundaries....

I see alot of debate and discussion on here about when a cap breaks and the boundary area. It seems different folks have different ways of identifying these. Can any layout their best way to identify these?

All of the above I guess... from browsing around it seems there is an art to identifying when the cap will break and where the boundaries will end up.

I was just interested in what the best ways to figure these out would be, there seem to be different schools of thought.

Personally I use aircraft soundings to watch the 700mb temps and see how that is trending. For boundaries, I use vis-sat and radar.
