Both Netflix and Best Buy to go Blue Ray exclusive

I thought there was a debate a few months ago about which format would prevail. Is it moving in the Blue Ray direction now? Both Netflix and best buy announced today they are going exclusive with Blue Ray. Netflix will not offer Blue Ray anymore and Best Buy is going to "recommend" Blue Ray. Not sure if that means they will stop selling HD.
 
According to one recent article (I'm at work and don't have the link handy) Blu-Ray has won and has agreed to purchase HD and slowly phase out HD and move everything to Blu-Ray.
