TWC has reported storm surge flooding at the military retirement home 27 feet above sea level in the Gulfport area where Jim Cantore and his crew were riding out the storm.

This recent report on the blog regarding the storm surge is amazing:


A report from the Hancock County Emergency Operaations Center says that they got a foot of water in the EOC. Before the storm, they said they were at 30 feet elevation. That's an indication of the storm surge.
