Biggest storms chassed

El Reno was the largest tornado recorded i believe. I wasn’t there because i chose a secondary target up near St. Louis that produced some light cloud cover. The largest hail was 8” and almost two pounds. My biggest was softball sized. The strongest non tornadic wind is a mystery to me. Mine ripped the tonneau cover off my truck and flipped a ton of vehicles on the highway i was on. A nearby airport recorded a 118 mph gust around that time

This is a new StormTrack entry from me for August 8, 1989. The highest windspeed ever recorded in Las Vegas, NV rippled across the Strip.
With much drier air at lower levels, evaporative cooling produced intense micro-bursting that broke out hotel-skyscraper windows and more.
Don't come a-knockin' when cars in the parking lot are rockin', and they were; anemometer across the street from me broke at 100 + mph.
