Although the moon was not full last night, and therefore not strictly our 11/5 "Beaver Supermoon", I did check to see how high clouds were affecting lunar visibility last night. I may try for good pictures of the lunar disk tonight, but if I elect not to go for it, this will be good enough for me.

This evening, I took a few sequences of Beaver Supermoon images with a Nikkor Z 24-300 f/4-6.3 lens on my Nikon Z6.

The following is a stacked image of 30 individual frames shot at a focal length of 200mm with the following parameters: ISO 100, shutter speed of 1/125s and aperture at f/11. Local time was 7:26 CST.

The Nikon RAW images were processed using RawTherapee and stacked using the application Siril. The resulting stacked image was post-processed in Gimp, but really didn't require much work--no torturing of the image to bring out detail. The colors are true, since at 7:30 PM CST the moon was still fairly low on the horizon, and noticeably yellow. The stacking definitely helped sharpen details, but I may go back and see if I can improve on the sharpness.
