Background map for Grlevel3

IDoes anyone know where I can download background maps for Grlevel3 or 2?

well awhile back someone had a web site where you could download conus map for grlevel3 or grlevel2. If I'm not mistaken it was something like grlevelxstuff.com.Each map had coordinates.

If you are using GR3 version 1.xx yes, you can use background maps. Version 2.xx uses satellite pics, and you can't use a background map.

OH wow - yeah, sorry about that. That feature was eliminated so long ago I forgot about it before John reminded me how "fun" that process was

Not that I know of, that version is so old that it's not really something that prevalent anymore. Have you tried the owner's forums?

You can check this out Charlie. It's called Red Team Weather and they have a pretty decent selection. GRLevelX Tools

The shapefiles for maps at Red Team WX / GRLevelX Tools say they are from 2010. Scott Lincoln has some from 2014: W Scott Lincoln: GrLevelX Shapefiles and Style Files

I use the ones on Scott's page. They work OK. A little outdated - I've found a few new roads and a few gone roads. Biggest issue sometime is having to hoover over the road to see the name.
