No offence to anyone but if Danniele is going to be a fish and not affect any land mass why is everyone excited that it reached 100 MPH winds again? I think we need a Hurricane to get rid of this SDS people are having. I just hope we don't have another Katrina or Andrew again. Once in awhile it is nice to have a quite year.

The reason many (not all) get excited to see a fish storm of significant intensity is the same reason many (not all) get excited to see a significant tornado in an unpopulated area. You can enjoy the full power of mother nature, study it, learn from it, and be comfortable in the knowledge that the impact in human terms is minimal if any.

I's much rather see a Cat 5 pressure bomb in the Atlantic than another Wilma that caught so many people off guard.

For those still up late....NHC did just issue a special advisory (2am AST / 4am EDT) that Danielle has reached Major Hurricane/Category 3 status).

Damn fish enjoying such a nice storm. I hate fish (but I still love eggs...LOL).

Dang such a pretty stom and only the fish get to enjoy the show. Maybe Earl will change that. Be glad this is not out in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico headed towards New Orleans.
