That's just "nutty." I have a friend up in Edmonton who makes Jeep Tops for a living and even he was complaining about having to bundle up so bad to go outside and weld/paint.

I guess when you grow up with that kind of cold, you can tolerate it but I find myself asking if some brain cells have been killed at some point. ;)
 
Opposite is true in Greenland. Thule Air Base (BGTL) at 76N was
41 F today. Ilulissat (BGJN) at 69N was 54 F w/ howling downslope
winds off the icecap. Monday AM low was only 41 F.

+50dm 500mb height anomalies associated with the high latitude blocking between Greenland and Iceland now.

Side note: Here's something I was not aware of:

Thule, Greenland, is also the location where the fastest sea level
surface wind speed in the world was measured when a peak speed of
333 km/h (207 mph) was recorded on March 8, 1972.
