Alaskan Tornadoes

I just saw this article

https://www.livescience.com/30198-weird-weather-anomalies-110302.html#

I thought... that isn't true! First tornado for Alaska? Can't be.

I have a good recollection of when I was in college, in about 1974, I read an article in Weatherwise titled, "Tornadoes in Alaska" and they had pictures of three tornadoes that were seen in Alaska.

Does any one recall that article?

To answer my own questions, somewhat, here is a 1977 article in weatherwise about a tornado in Alaska

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/00431672.1977.9931806?journalCode=vwws20

The article that I had in mind was published a few years before, in weatherwise.... but I may be mistaken and was thinking of this one. Of course, these might all be funnel clouds since the distinction between a tornado and a funnel cloud may have been less important in the article than it would be today.
