I found this on ebay an thought what the heck why not give it a try. We installed it in taho and its rock solid. If you dont really need the mount to swival then this is an awesome mount.

Oh pardon the mess we were rewiring. And before anyone yells, this is a command vehicle for the fire department so yes it has siren box's.

I want one of these laptop mounts so bad i could spit. But I can't afford a lot of $$$$$$$ . I wil look at these and probably buy . Have you used a similar one?
